Restart the Arts Campaign Kicks Off!
After over a year and a half of the arts being shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council (GPAC) has announced its Restart the Arts Campaign that will start a safe return to live arts performances this fall. While working with the entire arts community in the Pittsburgh area, GPAC will be hosting their own free live performances from their Artsmobile over the next month. Performing on the Artsmobile will be the Pittsburgh Opera, Local 412, Libertoca, Hill Dance Academy Theatre, and Nandanik Dance Troupe.
With the Delta variant, venues will still need to mandate health and safety rules to make sure their audiences will be safe and healthy, but the arts have now come up with a plan to reopen their doors to the public. A full schedule of performances for the Artsmobile can be found at artsburgh.org. To see the entire press release from GPAC, click here!
