Mon Valley Academy for the Arts Showcase 2022 “The Big Show”

The “Big Show,” a Mon Valley Academy for the Arts talent showcase, will be held on November 6, 2022, at the newly renovated Dee’s Event Center at 514 McKean Avenue in Charleroi. The showcase will feature the talents of the newly formed MVAA Reg’t Fife and Drum unit, the “VoiceZ on Fire” show choir, and, for the seventh consecutive year, the famous “Twin Coaches Jr. Stage Band.”

The Fife and Drum unit will open the evening at 4 p.m. with period music from the 1860s and will be followed by a performance by the newly formed “VoiceZ on Fire” show choir. After a meal catered by staff from Forlini Kitchen, the sixth edition of the 22-piece Twin Coaches Jr. Stage Band will take the stage, directed by the MVAA directors.

Pittsburgh Girl’s Choir: Women of Song Fall Concert

There were 40 days of flood until the dove brought back an olive leaf, proving to those on the ark that land still existed. PGC’s Women of Song will present a 50-minute concert of songs exploring what it’s like to pursue hope amidst uncertainty and tragedy. Highlighted songs include Mia Makaroff’s “Spes” and Susan Labarr’s “Where the Light Begins”.  Admission is $10 suggested donation, or pay what you can.

Our introductory Pre-Twinkle Camp is designed for the newcomer to the Suzuki Philosophy, the Pittsburgh Music Academy, or both. Your child will “test drive” several different instruments, play musical games, and make friends while you learn about the philosophy of Dr. Suzuki and our program. You will meet some of our faculty and get a tour of our school. We hold several Pre-Twinkle Camps each year, usually on a Saturday.

Participants in camp that continue by registering for lessons will enjoy a discount on the annual registration fee!

Pittsburgh Musical Theater Conservatory Class Registration

Ages 4-18

PMT Conservatory is the arts education entity at Pittsburgh Musical Theater that offers year-round training, mentoring, and performance opportunities for students ages 4-18.

Our approach to arts education and opportunities are fuel for learning, building transferable life skills, community, inclusion, and becoming a Superstar…not just on a stage, but in life!

PMT Conservatory creates a place of belonging that not only stokes passion and creativity, but teaches students discipline, compassion, empathy, humility, self-confidence, freedom of expression, and leadership.

All classes take place at PMT’s West End facility, 327 S Main Street. The fall semester runs from September 10th – December 10th and includes various performance opportunities for students.

Classes start at $255 and package options are available. Need-based financial aid is available.


Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras 2022-23 Season Registration
