Pittsburgh Girls Choir The Beauty That Still Remains: A Holocaust Remembrance Concert

The Pittsburgh Girls Choir and Congregation Beth Shalom‘s Derekh program proudly present a concert of hope and reflection through song in commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

PGC Chamber Choir will sing:

Ani Ma’amin (arr. Caldwell & Ivory)

Anne Frank: A Living Voice by Linda Tutas Haugen. A powerful piece featuring words directly from Anne Frank’s immortal diary. Dancers from La Roche University will accompany the singers.

Psalm Trilogy by Srul Irving Glick

The performance will take place in Congregation Beth Shalom’s beautiful Faye Rubenstein Weiss Sanctuary. Ticket prices are Adults: $20 Student / Child: $5 Patron: $50 for Premium Seating with post-show Dessert Reception At-the-Door: $22

Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra Chamber Music Festival

June 12-16

Tuition $475 (early bird registration discount April 10th)

​Develop your own musicianship skills, immerse yourself into every aspect of performance, work with distinguished faculty & guests, and perform in a small chamber orchestra with new friends. Open to strings, woodwinds, french horn, and piano students. Also open to adult amateur musicians, dependent on the ability to form a viable adult ensemble based on the number of participants registered. Adults will participate with other adults only, and will not be performing in any ensembles with children.

If you are an aspiring young singer, have a talent for creating the magic of the backstage world, or are a budding opera aficionado, this is the program for you! Focusing on musical theater, opera, and art song favorites, Bravo Academy ensures that all participants will have a chance to shine in the limelight.

Held in Pittsburgh Opera’s headquarters and professional performance space, Bravo Academy is a two-week day camp program where participants receive invaluable hands-on experience with leading industry professionals and performers. Each instructor is a specialist in their field, selected specifically to offer participants a broad and accurate view of the world of opera. All participants will take a number of fun and engaging classes, participate in exclusive workshops with Pittsburgh Opera staff, engage in master classes with industry luminaries and master teachers, and so much more. Your two weeks in Bravo Academy will conclude with a professional showcase performance in Pittsburgh Opera’s iconic George R. White Opera Studio which hosts Pittsburgh Opera season productions.

Lewis Music School Summer Camps

Summer is a great time to learn some new music skills and make some new friends too! This year we are expanding our offerings so that there is something for every kid! Most camps are half day, but combine two camps on the same week to create a full-day camp experience with an hour between for lunch and outdoor time! Each camp’s schedule will vary, but expect a full day filled with games, fun, music, friends, and memories!

The Pittsburgh Music Academy Muskigarten Spring Session

Let your child’s imagination bloom! We will explore the sights and sounds of nature through storytelling, movement, and song. The children will continue to build upon basic musical concepts: steady beat, rhythm, and tonal patterns, and will be introduced to world music and the instruments of the orchestra!

This program is designed for students who take private lessons elsewhere and need a place to play with others. Associate Membership is the perfect addition to an existing private lesson schedule by enhancing the student’s individual skills through performance and playing in group settings. PMT Conservatory Musical Theater Spring Class Registration
