Erik Barber (he/him) is a second-year Music Education student at Penn State University and teacher of Trombone, Baritone/Euphonium, and Tuba with the Practice Makes Perfect Music Studio. His main instrument is trombone, having started playing in seventh grade, and picked up tuba and euphonium as secondary instruments through high school. He has taught private lessons for two years, and has most recently worked with Laurel Highland’s marching band as staff of their low brass section. Erik is also an active musician in numerous settings, and has performed with numerous ensembles in and out of school, like the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, Penn State’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Zero Point Big Band, Penn State’s Centre Dimensions Big Band, his hometown’s concert band in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, and Penn State’s Trombone Choir and Quintessential Brass Quintet.

Virtual lessons can be held year-round, and in-person lessons can be held in Greensburg, Pennsylvania during summer months.

All lessons can be scheduled through the Practice Makes Perfect Music Studio.
