Nathan Meyers is a current graduate student pursuing his Master’s Degree in Euphonium Performance at Duquesne University.   Experienced in many avenues, Meyers has worked in wind bands, brass bands, orchestras, jazz bands, and chamber groups on euphonium, baritone, and trombone. Prior to studying at Duquesne, Meyers completed a double major in Music Education and Euphonium Performance at the University of North Texas, where he maintained a sizable private lesson studio.  Following graduation, he spent a brief stint working at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan.  Happily back in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Meyers fills his time as a substitute player for the River City Brass and as a private lesson teacher in the local area.  Recent accomplishments include selection as a winner of the Pittsburgh Concert Society Competition in the Major Artist Category, the winner of the Duquesne Wind Band Concerto Competition, and selection as a finalist for both the 2022 William C. Byrd and the 2022 Army Band Tuba-Euphonium Workshop solo competitions.  Meyers’ primary teachers include Dr. James Gourlay, Dr. Brian L. Bowman, and Dr. David Childs.

Meyers works with euphonium, baritone, trombone, and tuba players of all ages and ability levels.
