Hi! My name is Jennifer Kist, and I am a violin instructor at Practice Makes Perfect Music Studio in Greensburg, PA. I teach using a variety of methods, including the Suzuki Method, Essential Elements, and more! I also teach a variety of ages and skill levels. I am dedicated to sharing my love of music with others through careful pedagogy. I am also a church pianist/organist and have played for weddings, special ceremonies, and celebrations. I play in musical pit orchestras and chamber groups. I am in the Johnstown Youth Symphony as an alumni member and an part of many ensembles at Seton Hill University, where I am majoring in Music Education- Violin & Piano, and Special Education endorsement in the Honors Program. I play clarinet in the Griffin Marching Band, am in Sinfonia, Seton Hill University’s symphony orchestra, piano ensemble, chamber music, Setonia Choir, and I am a cantor for mass. Also, this summer I took a 2-week intensive graduate-level class and received my Elementary General Music Certification from the Gordon Institute for Music Learning Theory! I hope to integrate the knowledge I learned in this intensive into my teaching.
