Anyah Nancy Presents: A Nina Simone Tribute
In 2023, I had the honor of participating in the SCALE Fellowship Program: A Program for Black Women in Music, hosted by the Equity Impact Center. This incredible opportunity supported me in bringing my Nina Simone Tribute to life.
Nina Simone’s music has been a part of my journey since childhood, sparking my love for jazz and leaving a lasting impact on me as an artist. I was drawn to the way her voice conveyed a spectrum of emotions—how it told so many different stories at once. Nina’s work has always been with me, shaping my sound and my perspective.
It is truly a privilege to share this tribute, which is so close to my heart. This project reflects not only my deep admiration for Simone’s artistry but also the way her music has been a constant source of inspiration and connection for me.
