Hello! Thank you for taking an active interest in your child’s continued education in music!

WHO I AM

My name is Roger Rafael Romero. I am primarily a saxophone player and educator, but have experience with all woodwinds.  I have been teaching music to ages 7 – 18 for about 5 years. This includes my private saxophone instruction studio, as well as years of experience teaching at after-school music programs that specialize in jazz and beat-making. I perform and compose music using the alias f3ralcat, which you may see/hear floating on Billboards and radio stations locally. I speak both English and Spanish.

My teaching style ebbs and flows depending on the needs of the student. My general philosophy is pursuing a well-rounded education for my student, finding joy in playing music rather than making learning a chore. I integrate information and understanding from past works into the present, often molding my curriculum to the student’s burgeoning musical interests.
