Product Description

Guardians Of Sound’s Hip Hop Orchestra is a culturally responsive modern method for learning, creating, and performing  music with acoustic musical instruments aided but not dominated by current technology. The Orchestra is comprised of instrumentalists, emcees, singers, and dancers working primarily with the music of “now”. We recruit, educate, mentor, and perform with young musicians ages 9 to 19. The project includes an annual summer music camp intensive and ongoing music instruction after the camp at either Hope Academy of Music and the Arts, African American Music Institute, or City Music Center.
