Tribute to Mama Kadiatou
We are heartbroken to hear about the passing of Mama Kadiatou. Mama K. was very active in the formation of UniSound and her organization, Balafon, has been a UniSound member organization since 2018. She was very passionate about sharing the West African tradition and culture with the Pittsburgh community. Mama K. was also a teaching artist with the UniSound member organization, Hope Academy. She was a gift to the arts community and will be missed.
